Avril reste actuellement très discrète. Cependant, elle n’est pas pour autant inactive puisqu’elle est en studio où elle a enregistré récemment plusieurs chansons. Elle a posté sur Instagram plusieurs photos où on la voit auprès de Chad en plein enregistrement.
Concernant la santé d’Avril, sa lutte contre la maladie de Lyme se poursuit, elle a d’ailleurs posté une photo de ses nombreux médicaments avec le texte ci-contre:
“I’m so excited to be this far along in my treatment. 6 months of fighting and killing!! Grateful for the Dr.s God gave me that I searched high and low for to help me. Powering through the last bit of this like a mother fucking champion! Ps. Be careful wherever you are in the world of ticks and other insects that not only carry Lyme Disease but other infections too. EDUCATE YOURSELF. Most Dr.s are not literate in the world of Lyme. Do your own research!!”
De plus en plus active sur Instagram, elle n’a pas hésité à poster une dizaine de photos d’elle-même prises au fil des années où on la voit faire un doigt d’honneur, accompagnant ces images du hashtag #FuckLyme. Ce hashtag a bien entendu été repris par les fans sur les réseaux sociaux.
Pour finir, Avril parle de son combat contre la maladie et ses projets dans le magazine en ligne Ability.
